In 2021, CLS Farms wanted to revamp the website for its proprietary hop variety, El Dorado® hops. The goal was to design an engaging and informative website showcasing the process from field to pint in a centralized location. The result? A website that provides users with clear direction to seek information for whichever part of the process they're interested in.

Blog & Article Writing

Working with a B2B company like CLS Farms required a pathway for communication to show transparency on the process while also establishing the company as an expert in the industry. To do so, I have pitched articles on various topics to highly-regarded publications like Craft Beer & Brewing, Asia Brewers Network, and more. Articles ranged from industry topics, the CLS Farms story, or brand collaborations.

Along with third-party publications, I created a blog called Hop Talk™ to consistently publish brand-related content to establish trust and connect with its audience. This led to the creation of a successful newsletter with 300+ subscribers and an average Click rate of 6.28%.

Public Relations

In August 2023, Yakima Quality Hops planned to release the name of its new hop variety, Elani™. The goal was to develop a strategy alongside their marketing managers to release the news prior to harvest. I wrote the press release, built a PR package with digital assets, pitched to domestic and international publications, and advised on website and social media strategy. The result? Over a dozen publications including Brewbound, Craft Beer and Brewing, Brew News Australia, and others picked up the press release along with other publications organically writing stories on the news.

Social Media

The hop and beer industries, much like others, thrive on social media. CLS Farms utilizes several platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X to communicate with its audience. The goal is to create engaging content through both video and static images along with sharing relevant articles, events, and collaborations throughout the year. The result? CLS Farms is a dominant account in its industry with 4,000+ followers on IG and average reel views of 1,500 to 6,000.
